I saw this:
If it helps reduce child abuse that is a positive thing.
However we should be working to raise the status of children in society as rights holders and full people in the here and now, emphasising that they, like any other person, are worthy of dignity and respect.
Not because of science or because of future medical outcomes, but because they are people.
The problem with science is that it doesn’t challenge the marginalisation and discrimination faced by children. It doesn’t raise their agency, or challenge their status as second class citizens – the root of abuse.
